Draft, for SkateMVP's testing period (updated 1 October 2026). A full policy comes before the public launch.
Your trick catalogue stays on your phone
Your tricks, clips, obstacles, photos and notes are kept only on your iPhone (and in your iPhone backups). SkateMVP never uploads them.
Games of S.K.A.T.E.
Playing games needs a game account, made when you sign in with Apple. The game server keeps:
- the id Apple gives SkateMVP for your Apple ID (never your name or email);
- your username;
- your games, invites and every move in them;
- the clips of tricks you land in games, which your opponent watches;
- like any sign-in service, the IP address and device type of each session.
The game server is hosted by Supabase in Canada. These pages are hosted by Cloudflare.
You must be 13 or older to play.
Deleting your game account
In the app: Settings → Game account → Delete game account. Apple asks you to confirm, and then:
- your username, your sign-in and your game clips are deleted from the server, and SkateMVP's link to your Apple ID is revoked;
- games still being played are forfeited, so your opponents win them;
- finished games stay for your opponents, showing "deleted player". They keep an anonymous id in place of your account, which nothing links back to you;
- your trick catalogue on your phone isn't touched.
Signing out instead only signs this phone out; your game account stays.
